CABLE REPAIRList Item 1
If you are a do-it-yourself type and thinking about replacing a garage door cable repair yourself, beware!
Garage door cables are under a great deal of tension, and the job can be very dangerous if you do not have the knowledge and experience to do the job correctly. Trying to save money by doing a repair or replacement yourself is potentially both hazardous, and a waste of your time.
This is one job that calls for a specialist who has the proper training to install new cables to the exact specifications required for your garage door. If not installed according to these specifications, the door will not function properly, and a dangerous breakage may occur.

CABLE QUALITYList Item 2
Metal garage door cables are susceptible to rusting in the damp environment of the Pacific Northwest.
Additionally, if your door becomes misaligned the cables may be put under additional pressure. If not corrected, this can result in a cable snapping.
We can provide stainless steel wire cables that will match your needs, according to your door’s exposure to the local weather conditions (for example: excessive rain). Our cable assemblies are designed to give you rust-proof dependability, which is critical in the Greater Seattle area.

BELT REPAIR
If your garage door opener uses belts, these help lift and lower the garage door.
The belt in a garage door opener rotates when the motor is turned on. This action moves the trolley, which then makes your garage door open or close.
While belt drive door openers are reliable and very quiet, belts wear out over time and with usage. Replacing a broken, or worn out belt can get your opener back working like new.
When your garage door opener is not functioning smoothly, call Dave’s Door Service for an inspection. We’ll examine your entire garage door opener system, and make all the necessary adjustments and repairs as needed.
